Fines and Penalties are Just Around the Corner - Are you Ready?

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the Employer Mandate has not been repealed. While the Summer is a great time to vacation and spend time at the beach, it's time for all procrastinators to take their heads out of the sand and start taking some Healthcare Reform compliance administration action. If you don't, before you know it, you'll be planning how to spend New Year's Eve and then it will hit you. It will hit you like a ton of bricks!

You may say to yourself "holy cow (other words may also come to mind)! It's January 1st and I was supposed to declare our Standard Measurement Period and determine who's a full-time employee based upon the HCR definition." You will likely get a pretty big headache and will lose a lot of sleep as you try to wrap your head around where you'll get the money to pay for the GIANT fines and penalties that could have been avoided. Once the boss finds out, you may find yourself with a totally different kind of headache. The kind of headache that goes with finding a new job...

It really doesn't have to be that way. Best yet, you can still take that vacation and take that walk along the beach. If you've got enough vacation time, you can probably take another vacation before open enrollment. All you have to do is outsource your Healthcare Reform compliance administration and your vacation plans can become reality.
